Tiger Army has enlisted producer Jerry Finn as they begin work on their upcoming full length. Finn, a veteran producer responsible for albums from AFI, Morrissey, Rancid, Bad Religion, Sparta, Blink-182 and the Smoking Popes, earned this statement from Tiger Army frontman Nick 13:
I'm incredibly excited to work with Jerry. He was the only person on my wishlist of prospective producers. We see eye to eye on everything from our love of analog tape and vintage gear to the sad state of rock music, and I can't wait to hear what someone of his caliber will do for us sonically.
Slated for release next year, Tiger Army's new album follows III: Ghost Tigers Rise, which saw the Southern California band tour the US, Europe and Australia as both a headliner and as direct support to Social Distortion, Morrissey, and most recently, AFI. The band's own "Dark Romance" tour concluded with five sold-out shows back-to-back at the House Of Blues on Hollywood's Sunset Strip last summer.
This will be the first time the band has worked with an outside producer.
