Minus The Bear have entered the studio to begin work on their next album. The band will record with Matt Bayles (Isis, Mastodon), the group's former synth player, who left the band a year ago to focus on production.
The band will be recording 14 songs for an album which has been tentatively titled Planet of Ice, frontman Jake Snider had this to say:
We're substantially done with writing and the music sounds very organic to me. We've been on this intense musical journey the past few months and this new record is going to be expansive… but catchy. Everything is bigger and seems, at least to me, more dramatic than the last record.
The record is scheduled for a summer release, and follows both the band's last studio record, Menos El Oso and their upcoming remix album, Interpretaciones Del Oso.
