X is going to release a 12-inch single of "Wild thing" to celebrate the song's 40th anniversary. The release includes "Wild Thing (Radio Edit)", "The Curious History of X's WILD THING, narrated by Exene Cervenka," and "Wild Thing (Full Length)." That's out via Fat Possum. The EP is called The Meaning of Being and features six party rockin’ tracks. Sex Pistols with Frank Carter have announced that they will be heading out on a North American tour. The tour will begin on September 16 in Dallas, Texas, and wrap up on October 16 in Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale to the general public on April 4 but pre-sales will begin on April 1. This is the band's first North American tour with Frank Carter on vocals. Mike V appears to have left Black Flag

Mike V appears to have left Black Flag

Mike Vallely, who has been the singer for the reunited Black Flag for about six years, has apparently left the band. On his substack, he posted an journal entry called "My final tour with Black Flag." While he doesn't directly state that he has left the band in the body of the piece, he details how much of a miserable time he had on the last Black Flag tour. We reached out to Mike for comment, but have not heard back. You can read the the entry here and draw your own conclusions. since reforming, Black Flag has had about 13-15 members cycle through the group.

Mannequin Pussy perform on 'Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney'

Earlier this week Mannequin Pussy were the musical guests on an episode of John Mulaney’s Netflix show Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney. This was the band's debut live TV performance. The band performed their song “I Got Heaven” from their 2024 album of the same name. They were joined by Karly Hartzman of Wednesday and Jessica Lea Mayfield. The band also paid tribute to the late Sinead O'Connor with a kick drum cover printed with the iconic image of her ripping up the Pope's photo during her 1992 SNL performance. New England-based alternative post-metal band LOUDSOUNDS have released a video for their new song “Phobia Note”. The video was directed by Calvin Cadoret, Timothy Brown, and Anthony Puliafico (who also did the editing as well as the VFX). The song was produced and mixed by Kevin Billingslea from The Halo Studio and was mastered by Aki McCullough of Nu House Studios. It is available digitally now.
