The Gamits will celebrate the fifth anniversary of their breakup with a tour of Japan and the tour has now blossomed into plans for a new album. The lineup will be the same lineup that did the last tour of Japan which was Scott Weigel (formerly of the Fairlanes) and Forrest Bartosh (on again, off again member of the Gamits, current drummer of the Omens). The band will begin recording a new album in March which should see release Summer of 2010. The band will do a tour of Japan to support the album and there are talks about touring Europe and Russia. They will be playing a show or two in Denver and will be entertaining the idea of playing a handful of shows around the United States.
They released their final album, Antidote, in 2004.
