Epitaph just formally announced the release date and album art for Agnostic Front frontman Roger Miret's side project, The Disasters. The band's sound has been described as more street punk (and less hardcore) then Agnostic Front, similar in approach to Lars Frederiksen And The Bastards. Miret's album will be released on 08/27 in Europe and on 09/10/02 in the US. The band has setup a website at www.TheDisasters.com. The group, which also features Johnny Rioux on bass, Rhys Kill on guitars and Johnny Kray on drums, will be playing their first ever show on August 2nd in Williamsburgh Brooklyn @ North 6.
