This has been through the rumor mill countless times in the past 6 months, to the point where this will seem like old news to a great number of you, but we finally have official confirmation of this: The (International) Noise Conspiracy have signed to American Recordings. American is part of Island / Def Jam and a member of the Universal Music Group. On the label's new website a quote from label-founder Rick Rubin says:

"I'm making a record with The (International) Noise Conspiracy, who we signed to American… I think they're a great live band - they have incredible stage presence. And we're helping making album that conveys as much as they have onstage on record. Which I don't think has been done before."
