Re: Negative Approach added to Touch and Go 25th Anniversary Block Party, releases DV

Contrary to any stories or speculation (apocrypha, mythmaking what have you) to the contrary, John Brannon has been clean of his opiate adiction for well over 5, going on 6 years now. I should know, I work with him and if this were not the case I wouldn't be.

Also contrary to anyone else's difference in opinion, Easy Action are an infinitely better band then either Negative Approach or John's later band, the Lauhgin Hyenas. Point of fact, they're the perfect marriage of the two predated styles all rolled in one. Wihtout question, with Easy Action, John's actually making his best music right here and right now. It is simply tragic that the "community" at large hasn't woken up to this reality just yet.

True this comes with no small degree of personal and professional bias, but from a completely objective point of view, I have little to no doubt I'd feel differently even at a far remove from my association.

Anyway in the meantime, plan on the reconstituted Negative Approach to annhilate the field September 9th and in the interim, get your asses out the door and catch Easy Action this summer and fall. Just before the Touch & Go wing-ding they'll be putting in some stage time in support of Radio Birdman. Yup, you heard it here first...
