Pelican have posted the new video from their 2007 full length, City of Echoes. Of course, Europeans and Canadians can't watch the video because its hosted by MTV and well, if you aren't American, you don't deserve to see this video. So stop trying, ya commie.

Anyway, guitarist Larent Schroeder-Lebectalks a bit about the video and you can read his description of the experience shooting Pelican's first video here.

Sing It Loud loses drummer, plans debut
Posted by aubin on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 2:00 PM (EDT)
Epitaph Records

Minneapolis-based power pop act Sing It Loud have parted ways with their drummer:

irst off, we have parted ways with our drummer Dane Schmidt. Dane's heart is in other places and he has decided to pursue other things in life that will not allow him to continue his position in Sing It Loud. We are all on good terms and we support him in whatever he decides to do from here on out. On that note... we currently DO have a drummer who has swooped in on magical wings to save our asses and we are having a great time with him... we plan on announcing his arrival into Sing It Loud when the time is right

The group recently entered the studio with producer and labelmate Josh Cain of Motion City Soundtrack to begin work on their forthcoming debut album, which will be released in fall 2008.

Disturbed and Dillinger Escape Plan developing feud

Relapse Records

Dillinger Escape Plan and macho-metal act Disturbed are apparently developing a bit a feud. While DEP noted that:

"[They were] practicing where they were going to walk and when they were going to put their leg up on the monitor and pose, That was weird for us. There are times [during live gigs] where I don't even know where I am.

which led to a bit of defensiveness from Disturbed:

When we do a bigger production, there may be certain lighting cues for certain highlights of the show, but I wouldn't call it 'posing,' just a cue for our lighting guy, so he can add more drama to the set. If [Dillinger] sold some records, and were at the level we're at, maybe they'd see that, for bands like Kiss and Metallica, there are certain highlight points during a set that you want to focus on.

If they're saying it because they're haters, why? Because we sell millions of records and lots of tickets? It sounds more like jealousy to me.

DEP released Ire Works last year.
