Long before Dexter Holland and Propagandhi were writing political content into their lyrics, Dave Smalley was slapping the man in the face with his punk tunes. Down By Law doesn't always come up with the catchiest riffs (although Flower Tattoo and Sympathy For The World have moved a few toes to tappin') or the most commercial sounds. They do, however, have something to say, and say it over some impressive musicianship. While Blink 182 talks about their balls, Smalley has been talking about everything from women to genocide - and for my money, well...

Good album this is a good album by a good band My favorite DBL album, "sympathy for the world" fucking ruled...hell the entire album is awesome. they are the worst band with the best name.i liked gruesome gary though. |
