I thought metal went all emo now a days. Ha, well most of it did kind of embrace the emotional theme vocally. But then again, all the metalheads won't admit to this and label anything even remotely emotional and melodic as core.

you might notice that everyone seems to agree that punk is more than just a type of music, it's a lifestyle. Which is why i have no prolem with metal on a punksite, because punks and metalheads have gone through a lot of the same shit. No one ever got in trouble for listening to lame ass pop punk (eg. the killers). So stop bitching.

Then, add in the fact that most fans say that this is subpar for a Lamb of God album.

I really dislike this band. Does anybody else find it extremely uncreative, boring, lackluster, immature etc. that they feel the need to constantly swear? It's not like I mind swearing but with them they do it so often it just sounds uncreative like nu-metal lyrics. Like that new video he's always sayin "this is a mother fuckin..." whatever he goes on to say, I don't even care. It just sounds bad. Lame.

First: The album. It's no Ashes of the Wake or As the Palaces Burn but it's not a disgrace by any means. It would have been better if Randy would have stuck to his traditional approach to vocals and not the Pantera-ish method. Also, I agree that "Redneck" was a terrible single choice. "Forgotten" and "Again We Rise" are far and away better choices.

I didn't say you listen to Hawthorne, I suggested that you pick up one of their albums if the loud noisey metal hurts your little girley ears.

Bands like Carcass, Pig Destroyer, Converge, Vovoid ect are undeniably talented bands, all though their vocal style or the extreme sound does not appeal to the mainstream mases or those into "flogging Molly" I can see why it would be out of your realm of understanding.

First I listen to bands like the ergs, briefs, social distortion, cocksparrer, blitz, briefs, wednesday night heroes, flogging molly, US Bombs, not metal B.S. Never really did care for this band. Just not my cup o tea.

But this review is absolute garbage. I know very close to nothing about LoG, but I knew a lot in this was wrong.

This record is FAR to Pantera stlye thrash for my tastes. A little too much mid-tempo tough-guy groove. I can head band to this though, when they get a hold of a goor riff they shure as hell thrash that bitch.

Redneck is a really lame single though.
