For those unfortunate souls who are unaware, Frenzal Rhomb are the truest Australian punk band out and have been for over a decade. Before recording their first full-length in 1995 they had toured with Blink-182, Bad Religion and the Offspring. Think of a faster, more aggressive NOFX, with more offensive and controversial lyrics. If that sounds like your thing, and you can get over the heavy Australian accented lyrics, then please, please check these guys out.

This band was awesome when i was 11 years old. Then again, so were limp bizkit. Here's a link to their video for "Forever Malcolm Young." Alphaville original or not, Frenzal Rhomb flat out said that they were taking a jab at their friends, Youth Group. "Forever Young" is 1st done by ALPHAVILLE in the 80's. Its not a YOUTH GROUP original. Are you sure you got your facts straight? Great review. pretty sure the reason it hasnt been released in the US yet is because of Jay and the Doc's radio commitments. They cant tour and promote the album outside australia. So fatwreck is holding it off till they can. "please go over there is probably one of the best songs on the album. the reviewer is fucking retarded." the title track is shit hot Scores for Bodyjar. i wouldnt say they are faster than nofx. "good album and all...but i think we can all agree the best band from the land down under is a little band called SILVERCHAIR!!!! " This album is good, short and fun. please go over there is probably one of the best songs on the album. the reviewer is fucking retarded. good album and all...but i think we can all agree the best band from the land down under is a little band called SILVERCHAIR!!!! Fat mike better put out this shit in America. Go Frenzal Go always hates this band. i have no idea what the point is. "Frenzal Rhomb are the truest Australian punk band out and have been for over a decade." its a reference to youth group. they know its a cover, theyre friends with yg though, and thats why they named it as is. Fact: There are multiple songs that have been written in musical history that have been titled "Forever Young", and Youth Group didn't write that song anyway. So I'm not so sure your insight on the title of this record is correct. Are you positive it's the Youth Group cover that's being refrenced or could it be that wonderful 80's anthem released by Alphaville that Youth Group covered. Not being ana l just saying if it's a cover don't cite it as that bands go straight to the source. fucking awesome album. i reviewed it but i guess someone got there first. nice review "It takes another stab at religion (“If there’s one thing I despise its being fed those right-wing lies”)" I'm really not too fond of this Frenzal album, it's a good album, but there's just something about it I dont like. Frenzal rule although this album has caught me as much as Shut Your Mouth or Sans Souci or A Man's Not a Camel... What's going on with release outside Australia/Japan? From what I know they seem to be still with Fat Wreck but this was released a long time ago. great, great cd from an entirely too underrated band. Bodyjar is still the best Australian punk band, followed by Frenzal Rhomb. Ive never been a huge fan of Frenzal, never really liked the voice, even though they are locals for me. Saw them last year with Lawrence Arms, and they totally owned the Larry Arms ( who i really like ). I was very shocked. Disregard my previous question...score is for my reading skills. Frenzal Rhomb makes me glad to be an Australian. Best live band I've seen. Whoa, this came outta nowhere! Fat's not puttin' it out I guess? |
