Mike Griffen leaves Tsunami Bomb
As the headline states, guitarist Mike Griffen has left Tsunami Bomb. Agent M had this to say about the situation:
...the rumor-starters were right. Mike has quit Tsunami Bomb. We are sad, as I'm sure you are now, but we all hope that he'll move on and do something in his life that makes him happy. He's written a goodbye letter to everyone, which is posted below. Mike is both an amazing person and guitar player, and we're wishing him the best.
We are planning on continuing with Tsunami Bomb...
Mike's goodbye letter is posted below here as well. You can read it by clicking Read More.
It should be noted that the band is already searching for a new axeman and have no plans on cancelling their upcoming tour with Motion City Soundtrack, Maxeen and Limbeck. Those dates can still be found here.
As some of you already know, I have decided to leave Tsunami Bomb. I wish (not really) that there were some juicy details concerning my decision, but there aren'tâ¦no "so and so hates so and so" or "someone broke up with someone", etc. etc. etcâ¦I have spent the best times of my life and the worst times of my life with the other 6 people (Andie and Paul included) involved in this band. I have made lifelong friends, seen more places than I ever thought I would, and I got to play music the entire time. I simply just need to do something else now. I have every bit of faith that Tsunami Bomb is going to continue to do great and keep rocking and that you, the fans and friends, are going to continue to support them. I know I'm going to. Thanks to everyone all over the world that made me feel at home when I wasn't. I would also like to personally thank: Agent M, Gabe Lindeman, Matt Mckenzie, Doug Elkins, Jen Cooper, Logan Whitehurst, Andie and Paul, Dan Kelly, and Dan Garcia.
See y'all at the shows,
Mike Griffen
