October 18, 2004 - Los Angeles, CA - Springman recording artists TREEPHORT
and Los Angeles' leading lights of naive music, KIDS OF WIDNEY HIGH, will
debut their collaborative fundraising single, "Nice To Meet You, Part 2"
at a FREE, ALL AGES show on Wednesday October 27th. The historic pairing
is set to perform at Sea Level records, 1716 West Sunset Boulevard, Los
Angeles (213 989-0146) from 7-9 p.m.

Proceeds from the sale of this single will benefit the Kids of Widney High
(KOWH) Music Program, which provides instruments and education to the
developmentally disabled students at Widney High School in Los Angeles.
With the help of local volunteer Michael Monagan, KOWH have written and
recorded four collections of original songs over the past ten years. The
Kids have also toured with MR BUNGLE and THE POLYPHONIC SPREE, and
performed at The House of Blues, SXSW Music Festival, and the VANS WARPED
TOUR.

Prior to the October 27th show, TREEPHORT and Kids of Widney High will put
the finishing touches on "Nice To meet You, Part 2: with producer London
May (SAMHAIN, TIGER ARMY, DAG NASTY) and special guest engineer Dean Menta
(FAITH NO MORE).

The song, TREEPHORT lead singer Lee Satterfield says, "is a chicken-fried
hip-hop sequel" to "Nice To Meet You," from TREEPHORT's latest CD,
Enchanted Forest.

The collaboration will be featured as the b-side of TREEPHORT's
forthcoming 'Jesus Would Play This Show For Free" maxi-single. This
enhanced CD, scheduled for a February release on Springman Records, will
also feature a video documentary entitled "The Making of 'Nice to Meet You
Part Two'".

TREEPHORT met KOWH on the 2003 Warped Tour, and were immediately moved by
the band's hilarious, inspiring, and uplifting on-stage party. "When we
discovered that his awesome, wholly original rock band was the result of a
music program that has to pinch pennies," lead singer Lee Satterfield
explains. "We decided it was our civic and artistic duty to help them
raise some dough!"

TREEPHORT recently made headlines across the country for lighting their
genitals on fire in a Flint, Michigan club. They were also booted from the
Vans Warped Tour for such onstage antics as regurgitating Yoo-Hoo, grossly
indecent nudity, and making out--with each other.
