Sticks & Stones reunite for surprise Halloween show
Nearly 10 years after their breakup New Jersey's Sticks & Stones surprised the audience with a reunion at the eighth annual World/Inferno Friendship Society Grand Halloween Ball (World/Inferno is Pete from Sticks & Stones current band). The influential band played a six song set to the delight of the crowd. The Chunksaah Records website has a post-show interview with the band online now. When Pete Ventantonio was questioned on the reunion he commented:
You know every year World/Inferno has a big surprise for The Hallowmas celebration and there was some talk of doing a Sticks and Stones number for the encore and I said "or I could just call up the boys" and everyone's face lit up. Actually saying that sentence was the hardest part of the whole operation.
Check the interview for more details. When questioned on any future plans Pete commented "What we do is secret" with both Johnny X and Chris Calello making their own speculations. Chunksaah released a two CD set of the band titled The Strife and Times [review] in 2003.
