Gads of news from Punkbands.com
This is all from the Punkbands.com newsletter-
*James Brogan, guitarist from SAMIAM left the band after more than ten
years. Read a statement (in the pop up window) on their official site
http://www.gosamgo.com
*ANN BERETTA's new album is titled "New Union...Old Glory" and is
slated
to hit stores on April 24th according to the Lookout Records website.
*There is an online chat with THE DONNAS on Wednesday night at 8 EST/ 5
PST. The Donnas will surely be talking about their new album "Turn 21"
and
their upcoming tour along with their first single and video off the
album
entitled "40 Guys In 40 Nights". More info at http://chat.yahoo.com
(from
Punkrocks.net).
*ALKALINE TRIO fans, your worst nightmare has come true. According to
our
contacts at Vagrant Records, The Trio will be on tour nationwide with
MTV
favourites, Blink-182. The tour will cover the east and west coast, and
midwest covering major cities and hitting "small" venues.
*Apparently the emo kid's favourite band, THE PROMISE RING have signed
with every thirteen year old kid with a chain-wallet's favourite label,
Epitaph Records. It seems as if their tour in October with Bad Religion
went exceptionally well. Look for Epitaph to formally announce this
piece
of news on their official site soon at http://www.epitaph.com
Wow, Alkaline Trio with Blink 182. Alkaline Trio is really a great band, but I wont go see them with Blink. When I saw them with Bad Religion the mass idiocy was too disturbing. Epitaph is really trying to expand artistic demographics by signing The Promise Ring. How is a band like that going to fit on a Punkorama CD? All those 14 year old kids pressing the skip button on their cd players could cause some power problems.
