G7 updates: Propagandhi still in studio, Clann Zú hiatus, more

Here's some updates from G7 Welcoming Committee:

Propagandhi have returned from Vancouver and are continuing the recording process at Chris's house. It is said that album will eventually emerge and Cronos can return to her normal life of attacking the carpet.

Clann Zú are on hiatus at the moment due to illness. In the meantime, Ben and Liam's band MYDISCO! have a new EP called The Language of Numbers, which is available from Crashing Jets. Also in the interim, Declan continues to work on his solo album, which should debut in early 2005. He
promises to have MP3s available in January.

We have a great new book available for those who picture anarchists as dirty,
stinking, train-hopping-with-their-German-Shepherds ruffians. Although this
description fits the G7 crew to a T (note: German Shepard may be replaced with
several cats), the rich and varied history of anarchism in North America outlined in
Only A Beginning will show that there's more to anarchism than back patches and
heavy drinking.

Only A Beginning is the first comprehensive overview of anarchist theory and practice in North America from 1976 to the present. Compiled and edited by Allan Antliff, it documents over a quarter-century of grassroots activism, including protests and gatherings, art exhibitions, street theatre, Internet sites, and squats, as well as environmental and anti-globalization protests, the rise of anarchist-feminism, the fight for queer rights, indigenous struggles, and prisoners' liberation.
