Sub City and Take Action! help you find volunteer opportunities
Sub City Records and Take Action! have teamed up with nonprofit organization VolunteerMatch to provide fans of Sub City Records and Take Action! places within their community to volunteer.
Sub City president and founder Louis Posen had this to say about the new partnership:
One of our goals with Take Action! and Sub City is to provide information and tools to empower people to make positive choices. We were seeking and so extremely excited to find an organization like VolunteerMatch which gives people an easy-to-use tool to find opportunities to make a difference in whichever area one is passionate. With the volunteer match searching capability on the Sub City and Take Action websites we can finally provide an answer to 'I want to make a difference but I don't know where and how."
Interested volunteers can log on to either www.SubCity.net or www.TakeActionTour.com for more info. After entering their zip code, the amount of mileage they are willing to travel and the desired field of work, they can easily and quickly view local opportunities. The VolunteerMatch database has information on tens of thousands of nonprofit organizations throughout the United States, ranging from human rights work to environmental organizations to helping in homeless and housing.
