Gearhead welcomes Gitogito Hustler, says goodbye to The Dragons
On January 4th Gearhead Records will release both the new Gitogito Hustler Wonderful 7" and The Dragons Dirty Bomb 7". Here's what the label has to say about the releases and bands:
Yep, it's time to say "konnichiwa" to Gearhead Records latest discovery - direct from Tokyo Japan - the all-girl pop punk sensations Gitogito Hustler! Two great tracks, the surprisingly ferocious "Wonderful" and the sweet-as-saccharine "Romantic" which perfectly showcase the diverse range these gals have. An all-new 6 track 10" EP and CD are in the works for March, where the girls will also be appearing at Gearhead's annual South By Southwest Showcase in Austin, Texas. So while we say hello to Gitogito, we are also bidding a fond farewell to San Diego's favorite sons The Dragons. But rest assured, they go out kicking and screaming on their farewell release! "Dirty Bomb" is of course the runaway hit from last years Sin Salvation LP/CD (RPM045) while "Save A Smile" is a totally unreleased jewel from the same session. With it's AMAZING day-glo fluorescent cover and vinyl, it's like being in 1978 all over again. You can watch their farewell show at the Casbah in San Diego online right here if you're like us and just can't let go of this legendary rock and roll band just yet.
