Wires On Fire part with drummer and announce upcoming split with Mean Reds

Wires on Fire have posted an update on their website:

Our drummer and good friend Dash Hutton, will no longer be playing with us. I can honestly say that the split is on the BEST of terms, and it has been such a privilege and great time playing with him for the past few years. I want to thank Dash for his dedication, excellent musicianship, sense of humor, and great times he brought to the band.

Dash's last recording with us, two songs (one original and a cover of Alice Cooper's "I'm Eighteen") recorded by Alex Newport (The Locust, At The Drive-In, Mars Volta..) in late December / early January, will be coming out on a split release with our pals The Mean Reds from Tucson, AZ.

Replacing Hutton will be lead vocalist/guitarist Evan Weiss' brother Darren. The band released their Buddyhead debut, Homewrecker in January.
