ANTI EUROPE RELEASES NEW ALBUM BY TRICKY IN JULY
"TRICKY has signed an exclusive deal with Anti Inc. for the
European release of his next album, due in July. Tricky is one
of the world's foremost cutting edge artists that successfully
shaped the music of the last decade.
Tricky is currently working on his new cd, which will feature
guest appearances from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alanis
Morissette, Cyndi Lauper and Ed Kowalczyk from Live among others.
Anti Inc is home to critically acclaimed artists such as Tom
Waits, Merle Heggard and Buju Banton. Anti Inc is a subsidiary
of Epitaph Records. Tricky debuted on Anti in November 2000 with
the four track limited edition collector's item Mission
Accomplished."
Alright, I know this is not exactly "punk news" but Anti is one of Epitaph's imprint labels(along with Fat Possum), and this is one of the biggest projects they have ever worked on. Im sure back in 1984 Mr. Brett never dreamed he would release anything by Cyndi Lauper or RHCP. I think its pretty cool. Any opinions?
