Three Gut updates on the Constantines, Cuff The Duke, Oneida, Royal City
Toronto's Three Gut Records has recently posted a batch of updates on their roster.
The Constantines recently completed four shows in Toronto with the Weakerthans as part of the Rolling Tundra Revue tour. Guests at the Toronto shows included Brutal Knights, C'Mon, Republic of Safety, Bicyles, Ford Pier, Shawn Hewitt, The Silt and Andre Ethier (of the Deadly Snakes). The band leaves soon for the west coast portion of the dates, after which they'll take May and June off to focus on their upcoming record. US dates are scheduled for July followed by another Canadian tour in August with Oakley Hall. The band's third full length is due in early October on Three Gut in Canada and Sub Pop in the US.
Oshawa's Cuff The Duke are gearing up to release their follow up to 2002's Life Stories For Minimum Wage. The album will be released via Hayden's new Universal distributed imprint Hardwood Records later this year.
Oneida's new record The Wedding arrives on May 3rd. The record is being released in the US by Jagjaguwar and in Europe on Rough Trade. Three Gut's version of the release has a new CD face designed by resident artist Tyler Clark Burke. You can download the song "August Morning Haze" now.
Aaron Riches, Jim Guthrie and Simon Osborne are working on a Royal City b-sides album. The record, titled I Will Always Sing These Songs, is due later this year.
