Break-ups: Malady (2003-2005)
Confirming rumours, Malady has announced that they have split. The band which includes former members of Pg.99 and City of Caterpillar had recently signed to Robotic Empire but had not released any material on the label; they released Malady, their only full length on Level Plane.
Robotic Empire posted this statement on their website:
This may come as a surprise to some, [but] this isn't really the end by any means. [as] two new bands have already formed... and they're both really, really good.
The two bands who have already signed to the label include one band which has yet to be named but includes Jeff Kane, Jonathan Moore and Kevin Longendyke, Malady's guitarists and bassist respectively. The group will soon join former City of Caterpillar and current Darkest Hour drummer Ryan Perrish to record the final material that was intended for Malady's Robotic Empire debut.
Chris Taylor and Johnny Ward (Malady's vocalist and drummer) have formed Pygmy Lush with Taylor's brother Mike (of pg.99, Mannequin, Haram) and Mannequin cohort Mike Widman.
