Punk Voter / Fat Wreck to release Protect compilation
The folks at Punk Voter have announced a new benefit compilation, titled Protect: A Benefit For The National Association To Protect Children. The organization posted the following on their website:
Let's get posi! Probably the most asked question we get is "When is the next comp?" Well, this isn't a new Rock Against Bush CD (fuck that guy anyhow), but it is a great comp for a great cause with lots of great punk rock bands. It's called Protect: A Benefit For The National Association To Protect Children and it includes music from Against Me!, Matt Skiba, NOFX, Coalesce, Anti-Flag, MxPx, and more. It's 26 bands with 15 unreleased songs and it comes out October 18th through Fat Wreck Chords. Proceeds go to benefit Protect.org.

Protect's website describes them as a nonpartisan "national pro-child, anti-crime membership association" founded on "the belief that our first and most sacred obligation as parents, citizens, and members of the human species is the protection of children from harm."
