Thrice posts "Vheissu" album sampler, shooting video

Thrice has posted an online "sampler" of tracks from their upcoming full length Vheissu. The album is the band's sophomore release for Island and follow up to The Artist in the Ambulance as well as their recent DVD+CD release If We Could Only See Us Now.

You can check out the player, which includes three minutes of song snippets on their myspace page.

The player is second sampling of new music released this week, with the unusual step of posting a DRM-restricted track with only a portion of the single, "Image of the Invisible" playable until 100,000 listeners have downloaded the portion. As of this posting, 68,616 people have previewed the song; almost twenty thousand unique computers per day. Curiously, according to members of the paid Thrice Alliance, no material has been posted there either.

This weekend, the band will begin filming the video for the aforementioned single with director Jay Martin. The video was storyboarded by Thrice's Dustin Kensrue and Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance

The album is due out October 18th and the band has enlisted Underoath, The Bled and Veda for the support tour that will visit the US and Canada.
