Green Day posts extended version of "Jesus of Suburbia"

As promised, Green Day has posted the 12 minute "uncensored" cut of their video for "Jesus of Suburbia," the latest single from 2004's American Idiot.

The clip was directed by Samuel Bayer, the same director responsible for the videos taken from the multi-platinum album as well as their upcoming DVD, Bullet in a Bible which is due out November 15th.

The video is described as:

It's young love run amok among a tribe of punked out squatters under a bridge populated by hot girls and hot-headed guys. Our fateful hero (or zero, if you prefer) fights his way through youthful confusion, self destructive urges and a troubled home life and steers himself down the road to salvation. Or something.
