Fenix TX forced to change album cover for "Purple Reign in Blood"

Fenix Tx has been forced to change the cover for their upcoming live album, Purple Reign in Blood. The art, seen here, had apparently provoked lawyer's from Prince due to it's apparent similarity to the famous logo he adopted as his name in 1993.

A new cover is expected to be revealed soon. Vocalist Will Salazar explained the reasoning by the artwork and title in a statement recieved by Punknews.org:

The meaning behind "Purple Reign and Blood" is Fenix TX's message of
bridging the musical gap between to completely different styles of music;
i.e. Molding Rock with Pop!

Our influences have such a vast range..if you think about Purple Rain, by
Prince.(which we love) there is not a whole lot of people that listen to
Prince and are Slayer fans at the same time. We do ..we love both
artists!

So that is how we came up the name.

The band is currently on their reunion/farewell tour with Allister, Houston Calls and A Day at the Fair.
