Charities: Shirts for a Cure adds Lifetime, Refused, Against Me!, Anti-Flag, Atticus Clothing to roster
Shirts for a Cure has added 25 more bands to their roster as well as Atticus Clothing, the brand founded by Mark Hoppus and Tom Delonge of Plus 44 and Angels and Airwaves, respectively.
The 25 additions bring the total bands participating in the charity project to 76. Among the new participants are Lifetime, Against Me!, Anti-Flag, Armor For
Sleep, Hawthorne Heights, and The Starting Line.
Founder and SSE chairman Mark Beemer had this to say:
I am very excited to see so many bands getting involved with Shirts for
a Cure. It's great to see the punk community really rally around what we
are trying to accomplish and help keep the original spirit of punk
alive,
Proceeds from the sales of the shirts will go to the SSE, a non-profit organized by photographer Mark Beemer in order to
provide funding for chemotherapy and other medication for underprivileged women who cannot afford the growing expense of fighting breast cancer. To date, the organization has raised more than $250,000.
