Zero Boys to reunite for CBGB gig
Indianapolis' Zero Boys will reunite to play a show at CBGB in December. The band has not played New York or CBs since the early 80s, when they appeared alongside bands like Minor Threat, Bad Brains and the early Beastie Boys. The show will take place on December 3rd and will feature (among others) the Fearless Vampire Killers. That band, which features John Joseph of Cro-Mags, will be playing a set comprised entirely of Cro-Mags songs.
Zero Boys released the celebrated but overlooked Vicious Circle in 1982. In 2000 Lookout / Panic Button reissued that record along with their 1980 EP Livin' In The 80's. The band got back together this past summer for a pair of July shows.
CBGB has been open and operating without a lease since their much publicized battle with the Bowery Resident's Committee. It is unknown for how long the club will be able to continue operating under these circumstances.
