Tours: King Django on the road later this month / new Version City Sessions album in the works
Former Skinnerbox / Stubborn All-Stars frontman King Django has announced a week of tour dates in late November / early December featuring a number of ska and reggae acts. Click below for the details. Also on December 24th Django's ska / klezmer act Roots And Culture along with the Klez Dispensers will be playing a gig in NYC.
In 2006 King Django plans to follow up his 2003 compilation Version City Sessions with a second volume on Asian Man Records. Like the first version it will feature a diverse collection of ska, rocksteady and reggae artists recorded by Django at his Version City Recording Studio in New Brunswick, NJ. There's no word on who will be involved with this outing, but Volume 1 featured acts such as Westbound Train, the Speakeasies, Jack Ruby Jr, Ronnie Davis and many others.
