Buzzcocks sign to Cooking Vinyl; John Peel tribute single released

Influential punk act Buzzcocks have signed to Cooking Vinyl for the worldwide release of Flat-Pack Philosophy. The band joins a label with a roster boasting releases from Frank Black, Billy Bragg and Echo & the Bunnymen.

The album follows the group's 2003 Merge release, Buzzcocks

The band has also released an "all-star" live recording of their classic, "Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn't Have)." The single features a special recording from the UK Music Hall of Fame
induction ceremony and features two versions of the song. One performed by Elton John, Roger Daltrey,
Robert Plant, Dave Gilmour, Peter Hook, El Presidente, the Futureheads,
the Soledad Brothers, the Datsuns and Pete Shelley and dedicated to the late John Peel. The other is the original 1978 recording from the original 7" single.
