Jughead's "Weasles In A Box" released

John "Jughead" Pierson's book, Weasles in a Box has been released via Hope and Nonthings. The publisher was also responsible for Pierson's former bandmate's book, Punk Is a Four Letter Word.

The book, which uses Screeching Weasel's early touring days as a foundation, uses a mixture of "partially truthful situations with eight perfect fictitious dialogue" and is described as a "meta-fictional exploration that dances dangerously close to the edge of historical reality,"

The book is available from the publisher directly, but also from Screeching Weasel and Interpunk.

Screeching Weasel, who split up in 2001, had a number of releases this year. Much of the band's Lookout-era material was reissued by Asian Man Records including Boogada Boogada Boogada / My Brain Hurts, Wiggle, Anthem for A New Tomorrow, How to Make Enemies and Irritate People and most recently, Kill The Musicians. In addition, Fat released the retrospective compilation, Weasel Mania.
