Touch and Go in 2006: Quasi, Calexico, The Black Heart Procession; Blight Reissue
Touch and Go Records are celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2006 with reissues, new records and unknown surprises. They'll be starting with a reissue of the Blight retrospective, Detroit: The Dream is Dead - The Collected Works of a Midwest Hardcore Band 1982 on March 21st.
In the new releases department, Quasi will be releasing their Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev) mixed album When the Going Gets Dark on March 21st as well. Hot Shit, the band's last LP was released in 2003.
Calexico will be following up their successful collaboration with Iron & Wine, In The Reins with Garden Ruin. The album is expecting in stores on April 11th. Prior to the release, the band will be doing a minitour. You can Read More to get those dates.
Lastly, The Black Heart Procession are planning on releasing their as-yet-untitled album on May 9th. The album is a followup to 2004's The Tropics of Love. They'll also be performing at the label's SXSW showcase on March 18th at Antone's.
