Mash Down Babylon updates for the new year
Mash Down Babylon Records, the label founded by RX Bandits frontperson Matt Embree has some big plans for the upcoming year.
Right off the bat, they'll be putting on two benefits. The first will be Beats Not Bombs, which will be both a CD release party for Apotheke and a benefit for Food Not Bombs. MDB artists Goldfish Don't Bounce, Seekret Socyetee and The Return will also be performing. The will be the first of what is hoped to be a string of benefit shows in this vein put on this year.
The second benefit will be to help pay for A Static Lullaby member Phill Pirrone's hospital bills. Phil was in a car accident this past fall. Satori, Steve Borth's reggae/roots band with members of the Exit and RXB, will be performing as well as Finch, Phil & Nate from A Static Lullaby playing acoustically and the "Super Band". "Super Band" will consist of members of Finch and RXB "playing covers, classics, and jams." Read More for the info about those shows.
As previously reported the upcoming RX Bandits album will be available this year, as well as the aformentioned Apotheke record. Also available from MDB will be Goldfish Don't Bounce's debut and Coke VS. Bills debut. Also in the works is a new RXB website.
The label has streaming media available from their new releases at their website.
