Tours: The Slackers touring in support of "Peculiar"
The Slackers have announced tour dates in the US, Canada and Europe in support of their upcoming Hellcat LP Peculiar. The band will play the North American shows supported by Toronto pop punk act Flashlight Brown, who themselves are working on a new record for release sometime this year. The shows include two dates at CBGB's in New York before the Slackers leave for a lengthy set of European dates. Of course, those European dates include multiple dates at Ernesto's, a club in the Netherlands community of Sittard where the band has previously recorded two live albums. Click below for the dates.
Peculiar, the band's follow up to 2003's full length Close My Eyes arrives on February 21st in North America and the day before in Europe. The record was recorded live at the aforementioned Ernesto's (although it is not a "live album") and was mixed at Jeff "King Django" Baker's Version City studios. The record features a number of songs from 2004's EP International War Criminal EP, all of which were re-recorded and (with the exception of one) re-invisioned for the LP. This is the band's first studio album with guitarist Agent Jay and drummer Ara Babajian.
