Tours: Constantines Canadian dates, festival appearances at Sasquatch, Primavera
The Constantines will hit the road soon in Canada in support of 2005's full length Tournament of Hearts. The Toronto-based band will share the stage with a number of acts throughout April and May, including the Meligrove Band, Blood Meridian, Chad Vangaalen and My Brightest Diamond. The Cons are also supporting a limited edition split 12" with the Unintended, who they'll be playing with later this month. On the record the Constantines cover four Neil Young songs while the Unintended tackle the work of Gordon Lightfoot.
A number of south to mid-western US dates are in the works and will be announced soon. The Constantines have started to outline their plans for the summer festival season however, as they've confirmed an appearance at Sasquatch in George, WA (with Sufjan Stevens, Bedouin Soundclash, Neko Case and others) as well as an overseas trip to the June Primavera Festival in Barcelona, Spain (with the Deadly Snakes, Sleater-Kinney, Dinosaur Jr, Motorhead and tons more).
