The Lillingtons to record new album, plan Death By Television reissue
Red Scare Records has announced some details about a new record from the Lillingtons. The band is planning to record a new record at the Blasting Room and had this to say:
The Lillingtons are back. Well, they're recording a new record at least. Every once in a while even the fair citizens of Wyoming get the urge to put down the pickaxe and plow and fill their creative void, if you will. Such is the case with Newcastle's favorite sons.
The guys got the itch to make some more music, and experience tells me that when old friends get together and craft something in the name of fun, the results are a genuine good time. Don't expect a world tour, but you can count on some kickass tunes about aliens or spies or whatever those weirdos are fixated on.
Titled The Too Late Show, the album will be recorded this summer and plans are underway for an October release. In the meantime, the label has also set a date for the reissues originally announced last year. Due out first will be Death By Television which was originally released in 1999 and is currently out of print. The record should be available on June 6th, 2006.
