Converge plans to record this spring
Influential metal/hardcore act Converge have posted an update on their plans to record in May and June. The band will work on their second full length for Epitaph. The album will follow the band's 2004 release You Fail Me and is expected sometime this year.
They had this to say:
And so it begins...We are about to take on the refining/recording process of the new Converge album in the coming months. We've done a lot of living and been through a great deal since the release of "You Fail Me". All of that will surely surface creatively and make for a truly intense album. Likely most of the tracking will be occuring in May and June. More specifics will be posted shortly.
Members of the band spent 2005 involved with a variety of projects, Bassist Nate Newton and Doomriders issued their first full length, Black Thunder last year. Drummer Ben Koller continues to tour with Cave In supporting their album Perfect Pitch Black.
Guitarist Kurt Ballou is busy producing and engineering records as well as writing a guitar tech column for AMP. Vocalist Jacob Bannon continues to work on his art and run Deathwish Inc.
