The Arsons finish recording
The Arson (ex-Grey Area, Black Train Jack, Token Entry, John Henry, In Your Face, Big Sniff, Warzone, Distance and Break) have wrapped up recording of their third album. Tentatively titled Too True to be Good, the album is due out from Mad at the World Records.
The band is currently in the studio with Noah Evens putting the final touches on the record which was recorded at Atomic Recording Company in Brooklyn, while the vocals are being put down at Dave Palaitis' (Zero Zero) new studio in Manhatten. The label had this to say:
With the addition of Danny Windas (THE BREAK) on drums to cement the lineup, the Arsons are finally a quintet again, allowing Ernie to return to guitars, and share vocals with Marc. The practical consequences of this change are obvious, and reflect a stronger core that fuses the band's signature style with the trademark melodies of their Grey Area brethren. Arguably louder, faster and shorter, the new songs also showcase Marc's sharp wit and insight from lessons learned as a seasoned practitioner of self-deprecation. Continuing to draw from a rich tradition, Too True To Be Good challenges a suffocating paint-by-numbers hardcore scene to a breath of fresh air.
After completing a short stint supporting the Queers in Boston and NYC (at the Continental), new shows are planned, including dates with OS101 Bold, and Bigwig. While those dates are expected soon, the band is planning at least one date with the Bouncing Souls on June 3rd.
