Boys Night Out discuss The Fullblast split
Boys Night Out guitarist Jeff Davis has posted a response to the recent breakup of The Fullblast. The split was predicated on the departure of drummer Andy Lewis, and his subsequent addition to Boys Night Out caused some controvery.
Davis explained:
I am in no place to comment on the situation the Fullblast was in that resulted in Andy wanting to leave the band. He did not however leave the band exclusively for the opportunity to play guitar for boysnightout. He left for his own reasons that are between him and the other members of the Fullblast.
We didnt steal him from the blast, and we did not break up the band. It's a huge bummer that people are interpreting the situation that way.
The last thing we wanted out of this situation was to lose any friends, or to make any fans angry. We had an opportunity to get a great musician, and a totally wicked dude in our band, and we took it.
Boys Night Out continues to support their 2005 full length, Trainwreck. The album was among those featured in Punknews.org's Best of 2005 lists.
