Conflict Is Back
"Now matter how much things change, they stay the same. It's been 7 years since Conflict released new material, and already problems are starting. After numerous pressing plants in the US refused to print the artwork for the new Conflict single, Go-kart Records who is releasing the record in the US, decided to import copies directly from the band. Unfortunately, the shipping company inspected the boxes containing copies of "Now You've Put Your Foot In It" and they informed Go-kart that they refused to send the shipment to them. According to representative of the shipping company, the singles were found to be "vile and offensive" and they were "advised" by British Authorities not to ship them. They insisted that members of Conflict pick up the records immediately or they would be destroyed. Colin Jerwood of Conflict was quoted as saying, "It should come as no surprise to anyone that the British Government would find the truth vile and disgusting." Go-kart is going to try and manufacture the 7" singles and CDEP's somewhere in the US again."The band is also playing some tour dates on the west coast next month. Read on below.
