G8 Summit - Protester Dead, The first (the last?)
"Just this afternoon/morning, a protester in genoa for the G-8 Summit being held there, was shot twice, and yes, backed over by a jeep. Personally, Tony Blair's reprimand of the violent protesters in response strikes me as callous. Decide for yourself." Does anyone else feel like the entire planet is turning into a police state? Between the DCMA, the Hague Convention, and a myriad of other laws favouring corporations over citizens, and order over freedom, I'm scared to think how close we are to the world of Terry Gilliam's Brazil.
