2MA bassist retires...
: For the first time in Two Man history,
one of our teammates has decided to hang up his skates and go into
retirement. Founding member/bass player/defensemen Teemu Heineken has
decided that now is the time to ride off into the sunset, and be the first
player ever inducted into the Two Man Hall of Fame. Teemu will be missed
greatly by teammates & fans alike. Snapshot, our "fill in" bass player
for the summer tour, has decided to take up the bass player/defensemen
role in a permanent way -- so we welcome Snapshot as the newest member of
Two Man Advantage.
---full email --
It's been a long, long time since you've all received a message from us -
so there are a few things that we want to tell you about.
First -- thanks to everyone all over the U.S. for making our summer tour
an absolute blast. It was a month we'll never forget. We hope to see
everyone again at some point in the future.
Second -- we have a new e-mail address. You can still send stuff to the
captain2man@yahoo.com address -- but we now have an e-mail address
specifically for Two Man stuff - and it is, simply enough --
TwoManAdvantage@yahoo.com.
Third -- Listbot is closing down all of their free services. So, this
will probably be the last message you receive from us through this
service. For now, we'll be doing this list the old-fashioned way, but at
some point, we'll probably get a new service, and you'll all receive a new
invitation to join. Sorry for being such a pain in the ass.
Fourth -- next show is this coming Sunday, August 5th at Tompkins Square
Park in New York City. Tompkins Square Park is located between 7th & 10th
Streets, between Avenues A & B. Best way to get there by subway is to
take the L to the First Ave. stop. I believe the show will be at the
south-end of the park. It's free, all-ages, and starts around 2 p.m.
Other bands playing will be Third Grade Level (first show), IN-DK,
Leftover Crack, and MDC, among several others (sorry, I don't have the
complete listing).
Last, but definitely not least -- for the first time in Two Man history,
one of our teammates has decided to hang up his skates and go into
retirement. Founding member/bass player/defensemen Teemu Heineken has
decided that now is the time to ride off into the sunset, and be the first
player ever inducted into the Two Man Hall of Fame. Teemu will be missed

Teemu will be playing 3 final shows with the band: the August 5th show at
Tompkins Square Park, the August 27th Sweet 16 party, and the September
8th show at the Continental.
We'll leave you with Teemu's final goodbye……see ya on the ice!
"Well fans of the Two Man, the time has come for this old timer to retire.
It's been a tough decision for me, but I feel I can finally walk away from
this and have no regrets. I would like to thank all of those who have
supported this band from the beginning and I wish my teammates all the
luck in the world.
I will never forget the past four years, its been a lot of fun and I know
that I will miss my friends dearly. I am not on the current tour and I
miss my friends everyday, however, I don't miss being in the band. There
are too many reasons why I am stepping aside, but the main reason is my
family. I no longer have the desire to tour, go on the road for weekends
or even to write songs for that matter.
To my teamates: I will always cherish all the days we had together, its
been one of the most fulfilling projects I have ever been involved with
and I love you all.
I will play 3 last shows though, August 5th in NYC at Tompkins Square
Park, August 27th will be my last show on Long Island at Ashley's Sweet
16, and my last show for good will be on September 8th in NYC at the
Continental.
I thank all of you who have been with us from the beginning and even those
who are new to the Two Man. It's time for this old timer to ride off into
the sunset and never to be heard from again, kind of like Keyser
Soze………….."
