Tom Morello describes ska/punk outfit Outernational as "next Rage Against the Machine"
A recent MTV story has former Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello describing Brooklyn, New York-based Outernational as "the next Rage Against the Machine."
The ska/punk/hip-hop outfit will be performing at the Warped Tour this summer, and, though unsigned, has worked with Morello as well as Gogol Bordello's Eugene Hutz on recording some of their material. The band formed in 2004, and their second-ever performance was a protest against the 2004 Republican National Convention, followed by a gig for nonprofit Axis of Justice alongside Steve Earle and Spearhead.
