42K: The Movie
I was visiting the New Age Records website (in search of some Lifetime) when I saw an interesting headline. Some of you might remember the movie Godmoney, starring former Strife vocalist, Rick Rodney. Anyway, the director of that hardcore-fueled film is making another, entirely weirder movie. Click the [more] below to read a short description. Sounds cool too me... but I don't think I'll find it in the video store.
42K is the newest feature film from Director, Darren Doane. Godmoney, Doane's first film, set a new standard for the Hardcore community. "Feature films and other forms of art need to be embraced by the scene. We need to take our vision and beliefs to a higher level. Music should be our platform and from there we need to move to all other forms of art."
42K is an absurd comedy. Somewhere between Dumb and Dumber, South Park and The Simpsons, 42K is the story of Four guys who find an ancient Necklace and are immediately immersed in good luck. Four Beautiful women find themselves uncontrollably attracted to the four guys and beg them to take them home with them for a night of unadulterated fun. However, the entire night is turned upside down with the arrival of Machete wielding Vampires, Ninja's and Bible study groups all searching for the lost, ancient necklace. A war begins for the truth of the necklace, trying to get laid and revenge for the death of their best friend. 42K is written and directed by Darren Doane and Ken Daurio. It stars three members of New Age recording artist's, Insurgence. (Aaron, Drew and Jon)
The soundtrack will feature some of today's best bands in Punk, Hardcore, Metal and Pop Punk. Oh, and little Folk Music just to make it interesting. New Age will be releasing the soundtrack.
