New River City Tanlines album in September

Memphis Tennessee's River City Tanlines recently finished recording their new record at Battle Tapes Studio in Nashville. The album, titled I'm Your Negative, was recorded by Tony Read and is expected on Dirtnap Records in December. The band has put up a preview of some new material on their MySpace site.

River City Tanlines features Alicja Trout of Lost Sounds along with the rhythm section of T-Money and Bubba (who've played together with RL Burnside, Tearkerkers, Mr. Airplane Man, and Kenny Brown Band, Dale Hawkins and the Subteens). The band is following up their recently released collection All 7 Inches Plus 2 More on Dirtnap.

We posted the band's US and European tour dates earlier this month. They'll be on the road through September.
