Converge titles album, plans more dates
Influential metal/hardcore act Converge have announced the title of their next full length and second for Epitaph. The album will follow the band's 2004 release You Fail Me and is expected sometime this year.
The album is titled No Heroes and the group offered this explanation:
These days cowards outnumber the heroes, and the begging souls outweigh the calloused hands of the hardest of workers. Both in life and in art, the lack of passion is sickening and the lust for complacency is poisonous. This album is the artistic antithesis of that sinking world, a thorn in the side of their beast. It's for those who move mountains, one day at a time. It's for those who truly understand sacrifice...In our world of enemies, we will walk alone...
The band is currently mixing the album, and besides their recently announced Sounds of the Underground stops, they are planning two shows in July. The first is set for July 10th in Detroit at Hayloft Liquor Stand in Mt. Clemons and the second for July 12th at the Lawrenceville Moose in Pittsburgh.
