New End Original/Chamberlain news
Taken from Billboard.com:
"Indie rock all-star quartet New End Original will release its debut album, "Thriller," Oct. 2 via Jade Tree, to be preceded Tuesday (Aug. 28) by the single "Lukewarm." The group consists of former Far/onelinedrawing frontman Jonah Matranga, former Chamberlain drummer Chuck Walker, and former Texas is the Reason members Norm Arenas and Scott Winegard. New End Original kicks off a North America trek Sept. 7 in Salt Lake City, including a Sept. 14 appearance as part of Jade Tree's showcase at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York.
Meanwhile, former Chamberlain guitarist Adam Rubenstein has completed his solo debut, "Aftershock," which is due by the end of the year on Doghouse. The 11-track album finds Rubenstein backed by two veterans of the music scene in his native Indiana, bassist Jason Bramer (of Old Pike) and drummer Scott Edwards. Doghouse will also issue "Exit 263," a collection of Chamberlain's final studio recordings, later this year. Rubenstein will play a rare solo show Sunday at CB's Gallery in New York."
New End Original sounds awesome, as Texas Is The Reason was groundbreaking in terms of the modern "emo" sound, and Chamberlain just fucking rocks. Click here to read my review of their last full-length.
