Misfits force temporary pull of new Negative Approach DVD
Motor City Rock'n'Roll, the people behind the recently released DVD from the legendary Negative Approach have had to pull the DVD from retail due to problems with some footage of the Misfits on the disc.
They had this to say:
Motor City Rock 'N' Roll Video would like to apologize to Glenn Danzig and The Misfits for the use of footage of them performing with John Brannon on the Fair Warning DVD without obtaining prior written consent before its release.
Use of this footage on the DVD was done only out of the greatest respect for Glenn and The Misfits in capturing one of the great moments in Motor City punk rock history.
A new version of the Fair Warning DVD will be available soon with The Misfits performance replaced by additional early Negative Approach footage.
Founded in 1981 in Lansing, Michigan and Maumee, Ohio, Touch and Go soon found itself at the center of the Detroit punk scene of the early 80s. Early records by classic punk bands Negative Approach, The Meatmen, and the Necros quickly put Touch and Go and the growing Detroit hardcore scene into the national spotlight.
