Ernie Ball and Warcon Records to release "Best 13 Unsigned in North America" comp

Ernie Ball and Warcon have announced plans to release a Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands 10 Compilation which will feature bands who have appeared on the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands. The event allows unsigned bands to earn a place on the Vans Warped Tour and is now in its 10th year.

Bands scheduled to appear include A Heartwell Ending, As Blood Runs Black, Karate High School, Brightwood, Hometown Anthem, The Flatliners and the Weakend. Each band will contribute one song to the compilation.

Chris Cresswell of ska/punk act The Flatliners said:

Saying that this is an honor is an understatement. I remember reading the back of the packaging of my Ernie Ball strings when I first started playing guitar, eyeing each and every band name and thinking, 'Wow, these are all my favorite bands.' That really makes this amazing.

The disc is due out September 26th and will retail for $7.99.
