Neurosis set to record with Steve Albini, member project updates
Neurosis has announced some plans for the coming months. The band has plans to enter the studio in December with engineer Steve Albini at his Electrical Audio studio in Chicago. According to reports: "
The sounds emanating from the rehearsal room are frighteningly strange and not very nice." The album will follow up the band's 2004 full length, Eye Of Every Storm and is expected in 2007.
Members of the band have kept busy as well, guitarist Steve von Till has composed the soundtrack from a thrilled title h2odio which is being produced by Italian director Alex Infascelli. guitarist Scott Kelly has been working on his online radio show which can be streamed from Combat Music.
Keyboardist Noah Landis has opened a recording studio with Brian Hood of Strychnine. Last, bassist Dave Edwardson recently released an album with his punk/hardcore project Jesus Fucking Christ. The band is described as early to mid-80's style hardcore with a heavy Poison Idea, Accused, and Christ on a Crutch influence. The record will be available from Inimical Records.
